Cuban border guards killed four crew members of a speedboat from the United States and injured six others in a shootout on Wednesday, the Cuban Ministry of the Interior reported. The incident occurred when the boat, registered in Florida, did not obey orders to stop in Cuban territorial waters and opened fire on a patrol vessel. As a result of the confrontation, the commander of the Cuban vessel, which had five people on board, was also injured. All injured individuals were evacuated and received medical assistance. The ministry did not provide data on the identities or possible motives of the speedboat's crew.
