Cuba Faces Power Outages Due to Fuel Shortage

A third of Cuba will experience a blackout this Sunday due to a lack of fuel and malfunctions in the thermoelectric plants, as reported by the state-owned company responsible for electric supply.

According to the information provided, the areas affected by the power supply interruptions are due to serious technical problems that prevent the optimal generation of energy.

"The lack of fuel and failures in our thermoelectric plants have generated this situation that will affect a large part of the population. We are working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible," said a spokesperson for the state company.

In light of this situation, thousands of Cubans are expected to be affected by the blackout, which will last for several Sunday hours, thereby increasing the difficulties faced by the population amidst an escalating energy crisis.
